Winter Wedges That Are Wonderful

For some of us fashionistas, winter is simply a bummer! However–for the shoe design divas who brave any and every type of un-fashionable weather, we trek on. And how do we do that this weather-challenged season, we do that in fabulous footwear wedges.

Makes You Say Whoa Wedge Bootie by Irregular Choice. When you look at these special booties, you might stand still in speechless amazement. The Brighton-based brand aims to inspire your imagination and individuality through playful details. Equal parts wedge, sneaker, and ankle boot, this striking style comes from the company’s Gold Label collection–a hard-to-find line dedicated to distinctive designs.

This leather pair flaunts brown scalloping, Southwestern-inspired, felted uppers, gold-snakeskin-trimmed tops, multi-colored laces and hidden wedges. Pair them with jeans, and a subtle sweater. WOW–to everyone you meet.

Shoe Design Wedge

French fashion designer Pierre Hardy launched his line of women’s shoes in 1999, following up its success with a menswear line in 2002. Prior to launching his namesake brand, Hardy design shoe collections for Christian Dior and was the creative director for women’s and men’s shoe collections at Hermes. Here he offers us a calfskin and nappa leather upper with a leather sole. 4″ wedge with suede trim details and an exposed side zipper closure.  $372.
