Spring 2014 Shoe Trend: Going Global

Spring 2014 shoe trends include the best footwear designs I’ve seen in seasons. This featured hottest trend is for shoe lovers everywhere.

I’m calling it Going Global.

 Sophia Webster’s spring 2014 sandals in red, yellow, black, and white calf leather. Check out that outrageous heel.

Emilio Pucci at Luisaviaroma. Masai patent leather booties with two-ankle straps in patent leather and neoprene with Velcro. The lace-up closure with the mock croc and Masai-inspired beaded embroidery is simply oh-so-marvelous. $2837.

Barneys. Straight from the Spring 2014 fashion runway. Dries Van Noten’s natural wood and snake-stamped leather platform ankle-tie sandals are embellished with cowrie shells. 5.25” curvel heel with a 1” platform.  Red snake-stamped leather toe strap, rustic embroidered and shell-embellished cloth vamp straps, and a suede-laced ankle tie.

Neiman Marcus. Shake things up with this Jimmy Choo Kanoder snake and rope sandal in black/gold/natural. The knotted straps weave over the vamp and the ombre counter with a back zipper are pivitol on this open-toe, 4” covered heel.

ShopBazaar.com. This African animal print sandal by Sergio Rossi is accented with a leather ankle strap featuring calf-hair detail throughout. There’s a side buckle closure. Replacement heel tips and a protective shoe bag. $950.


Marc Jacobs. Plain weave with a leopard-design satin finish and bow detailing. 2.15″ heel. $444 at Yoox.
